Operation Panthers Claw "Halo"
In a move to commit to these brave men and women, the Squadron has entered into a program with SOS (Support Our Soldiers), Help for Heroes, BLESMA, Royal British Legion the Royal Air Force Association,
Letters of support, on a regular basis letters will be exchanged with Armed Forces Personnel serving around the world by our Cadets. Letters are monitored by our SOS Coordinator CI S Allen to ensure content is none explicit and personal information not shared. i.e. Cadets address, email address.
Parcels for service personnel, the squadron has for many years produced parcels to be sent to personnel in all theatres around the world. These parcels of support are sent with the intention that our service personnel are in our thoughts. Parcels are sent through the local representative of Support Our Soldiers.
Stamp Collection, cadets and staff of the squadron are encourage to save stamps from their posts, the collections are then sent off and transformed into funds for charity.
Ring pulls from drinks cans are saved by the cadets and staff of the squadron, this is also used as a means of raising funds for charity.

Operation Panthers Claw was launched September 2009, it has been designed to bring an element of fun into the Squadrons training weekends and other projects and promote the "Venture Adventure". The motto "Be Rough Be Ready Have Fun" highlights the fun element but the need for learning on all parts is paramount. Operation Panthers Claw "Basic" the first weekend was conducted 19th - 20th September 2009 and was designed as an informative weekend with elements of ACP16 included. Cadets on this first weekend sat through lectures on Aircraft Recognition, duties of a sentry (ACP16), hand signals (ACP16), camouflage and concealment (ACP16) Leadership and many more. They also had the opportunity to participate in leadership exercises and attempt to lead a group. Operation Panthers Claw "Actual" is scheduled for October 2009 with a number of other operational weekends and events scheduled for 2009/2010 and beyond As photographs become available please click on the operation or visit our gallery page
