ROYAL AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION - ABERDARE BRANCH

The squadron has for many years had a proud tradition to assist the work of our local RAFA Branch through the annual Wings Appeal. Cadets are allows eager to assist our local Royal Air Forces Association branch, we are also privileged to carry the RAFA standard during the annual Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade. The Squadron is proud of our links with club and the work they do.

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - ABERDARE BRANCH

The squadron has for many years supported the local branch of the Legion through the Poppy Appeal. The Squadron as like others throughout the Corps make every effort during the Remembrance period. We as a squadron are proud of the work the Legion does not only within Aberdare but throughout the Country. Aberdare also has the opportunity to join 2423 (Treorchy) Squadron in November for the Rhondda Festival of Remembrance held at the sports centre at Treorchy.

TY NEWYDD COUNTRY HOTEL - HIRWAUN

The hotel has provided the Squadron with much needed support, recently we held our annual Dining In Night at the hotel which was a great success. The Squadron would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the area. We are also reliably informed that the tribute nights at the hotel are a must. You will always receive a warm and friendly service and a most enjoyable stay.

MJL GROUP

MJL are one of the largest Health and Safety & Employment Law specialists in the country, the I.T. department at MJL has provided the Squadron with assistance on how to build this web site and are currently providing the facilities to host it, thereby saving the Squadron funds in the purchase of web space.

CREATIVE INNOVATIONS

During the last Dining In Night the Squadron approached Creative Innovations to produce a momento to allow us to din out our previous Commanding Officer. The company etched our Squadron Crest onto a glass trophy which for once, our out going CO was speechless. We would recommend this company to produce high quality trophys. LIZZARD MILITARY

After designing the squadron crest it was decided to produce clothing for both staff and cadets, we approached Lizzard Military who provided free Embroidery set up and a clothing range at reasonable prices. If your Squadron requires any clothing from t-shirts, polo shirts, rugby shirts, drill tops or fleeces then we recommend you contact Steve at Lizzard.

ABERDARE MOTORCYCLE CLUB

The club meets at the Plough Inn, Aberaman, Aberdare and they regularly organise rideouts and fund raising events in aid of various charities. If you want more information then pop along for a chat and a friendly drink. The club is also responsible for the annual Aberdare Bike Show at the Michael Sobel (Ynys) Sports Centre Aberdare. The next event will take place on October 5th 2008, ITS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
