ADVENTURE TRAINING

Adventure Training forms an essential part of the Air Cadet's training syllabus. As well as helping cadets forge new friendships, adventure training enables all cadets to show off their leadership qualities.

There is a wide ranging Adventure Training syllabus in the Air Cadet Organisation – and with the formation of the No 1 Welsh Wing Adventure Training Team, Cadets can try their hand at mountain walking or canoeing, the list is endless.

Cadets within the Squadron are extremely fortunate, as we are located on the edge of Aberdare Country Park and Brecon Beacons National Park

One of the two National Air Cadet Adventure Training Centres are located within the Wales and West Region at Llanbedr in North Wales.

All adults who supervise Adventure Training activities are well qualified, under the relevant National Governing Body (NGB) award requirements.

Adults who wish to train to become a supervisor in an adventurous activity have the opportunity to attend the Joint Services Adventure Training Centre at Llanrwst in North Wales, used by Service personnel, as well as members of the Air Cadets.
