This is the official homepage of 254 (Aberdare) Squadron, Air Training Corps. The Air Training Corps is a national voluntary youth organisation designed to develop the qualities of young people. It is sponsored by the Royal Air Force and provides challenging aviation, adventurous and community activities.
Air Cadets, aged 13 to 20, throughout Aberdare and its surrounding villages get the opportunity to participate in a large range of stimulating and rewarding activities. Where else could you learn to fly aerobatics, take control of a Grob Tutor & Vigilant Glider, visit Royal Air Force Stations and spend a week on camp, play sports for you Squadron, Wing, Region or Corps. How about learning the skills to lead expeditions, become a target shooting marksman, or even gain your Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. These are just some of the things that are available to cadets within the Air Training Corps
Our web site is designed to give you as much information as possible about what we on 254 Squadron get up to.
